Exam Exemptions

What if I have already taken IFoA or SOA exams?

If you have previously taken IFoA or SOA exams, you may qualify for exemptions on the CAA pathway. Individuals with SOA and IFoA exam credits will be exempt from the CAA modules listed below, provided the credits were earned by 30th June 2018.

Module 5 Fundamentals of Actuarial Practice (FAP) Model Documentation Analysis and Reporting (CA2)
OPAT Associateship Professionalism Course (APC) Online Professional Awareness Test (OPAT)

A fee will apply for each exemption. The exemption fee for each module will be as follows:

Process to obtain exemptions

If you would like to claim an exemption, please follow the steps below:

STEP 1: Complete the candidate registration form and indicate which exemptions you would like.

STEP 2: Send the administrative team proof of qualification from either IFoA or SOA exam which has been certified to be a true copy to enquiries@caa-global.org.

STEP 3: Include administrative and exemption fees with your proof of qualification.

STEP 4: The administrative team will process the full application, place exemptions and take payment.

STEP 5: The administrative team will notify you of ARN and provide instructions for booking future exams.
